“Healing and Hope: Mobile Mental Health Care for Victims of Violence in Haiti”

Help Bring Hope to the Broken

On April 23, 2023, darkness fell on a small town just 26 km north of Port-au-Prince. Armed gangs stormed the community- leaving more than 200 people perished, countless injured, and families shattered and traumatized.

Among the victims was a young mother, violated before her 7-year-old daughter’s eyes. Her cries still echo in the hearts of those who heard them; a story that represents the pain and resilience of many others.

Today, thousands across the country are still struggling to recover — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. But even in the darkest night, God’s light can still shine.
We believe healing is possible, hearts can be restored, and peace can bloom again where fear once ruled.
Your donation supports emergency counseling, trauma care, and long-term recovery programs that help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Your gift becomes an act of compassion — a reflection of God’s love in action — providing counseling, refuge, and restoration for survivors.

Together, we can turn tragedy into transformation. Your support matters. Give hope today.

Let’s stand together for hope. Give today. Be the reason someone believes again.

“Healing and Hope”

What is the Urgency for the Healing and Hope project?

🌿 Healing Hearts, Restoring Hope in Haiti

Haiti is a nation that has endured decades of instability, natural disasters, and social unrest.
In recent years, escalating violence has led to an unprecedented mental health crisis. Armed groups violence, kidnappings, and targeted attacks have left deep emotional scars on countless individuals and families.
For many Haitians, trauma is not a single event — it is a daily reality.

The Crisis in Numbers

  • Thousands of children have witnessed killings, sexual assaults, and the violent loss of parents or siblings, according to UNICEF.

  • These traumatic experiences leave lasting emotional wounds that affect learning, behavior, and long-term well-being.

  • The World Health Organization reports fewer than 50 psychiatrists serve Haiti’s 11 million citizens — less than 0.5 psychiatrists per 100,000 people.

Where Faith and Healing Meet

Traditional community and faith structures remain a lifeline of hope — offering comfort, prayer, and belonging.
Yet most lack the trauma-informed tools and clinical support needed to help individuals fully heal and rebuild their lives.

That’s where The Last Oasis Ministries steps in — to bridge the gap between spiritual care and emotional recovery, helping survivors find peace, faith, and purpose again.
